Microsoft Windows is a family of proprietary operating systems most commonly used on personal computers. It is the most common family of operating systems for the personal computer, with about 90% of the market share. Currently, the most widely used version of the Windows family is Windows XP, released on October 25, 2001. The newest version is Windows 7 for personal computers
This course provides the overview of computer system and the operating system, the concepts of process management, memory management, storage management, protection and security issues, and distributed systems.
Upon completion of this course, the participant, at a minimum, will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Describe the typical uses of different operating systems in the enterprise and how they interact with other components of an organization's core IT infrastructure

Perform fundamental system administration and audit operations
•
Perform user administration, access control, auditing, and reporting on various operating systems
